Location : Thorpe Park, Surrey, England

Stealth - Fastest roller coaster in Britain

From 0 to 80mph in less than 2 seconds, and G-force up to 4.8G from the height of 205ft, it was really tempting!

But due to medical history, I need to avoid doing crazy things, such as riding this insane rollercoaster. Must avoid or else.. T____T

Instead, we just took less-crazy rides such as :

nemesis inferno

Rush

Tidal wave

And other rides which are not so-crazy at all.

The good thing is, we did observed a lot about mechanical stuff while enjoying the rides. From hydraulics to structures to magnetic brakes to turbines and much more, which makes us wonder, how many mechanical engineers did they paid to build the whole theme park. Hmm..

And, as usual, you cannot avoid technical problems that might happened during the ride, such as what happened today :

 

Times like this, engineers to the rescue! Ah, or else who else can be the hero? Ok, technician perhaps.

Is it because it is the exam period or am I getting nerdy to think about engineering things, even when I'm having fun outdoor? Pheww!

Or maybe it is.

Engineering, it's all about our surrounding guys!
