Spring 2012 : Geneva, Switzerland

Alhamdulillah, had a chance to join the university's trip to Geneva, Switzerland from 1st until 6th April.
Beautiful getaway indeed.

Lake Geneva or known as Lac Leman (local) is simply beautiful, with a dash of  a 140-metre high fountain, Jet d'Eau. A man-made beach beside the lake makes this lake perfect for people to picnic by this lake with breathtaking Swiss Alps view.

On the second day, we hopped onto Mont Saleve's cable care and reached on top of the balcony of Geneva.  We're already in France over here, with a magnificent view of Geneve! 

On the third day, we paid a visit to the United Nations office compound.

..and also European Organisation for Nuclear Research Centre (CERN), where the largest man-made laboratory for nuclear physics is located.

When visiting Switzerland, accommodations (from hotels to hostels) in this country will give a complimentary ticket for public transport in the city according to your length of stay.

Switzerland is also famous with its Swiss Chocolates. Cheaper ones can be bought from supermarkets such as Migros & Coop especially for their own brand, while branded ones such as Lindt may costs double.

Again, Switzerland is indeed an expensive city. If you are on a budget trip, do pack up your own food from home to save more money.

All in all, this is my second trip to Switzerland, and by far this country is one of the most beautiful countries I'd ever seen. :)
