English playwright and wit Oscar Wilde says that. It sounds a bit cynical but it is quite right.

We all make mistakes, we all have flaws and no friend of yours -or mine- is the "übermensch". Therefore, sooner or later he/she will make something that seems very wrong to you, something that will hurt your feelings. And when that moment arrives, you, as a friend must forgive, forget and hold on to your friendship, because only friends will do such a thing.
